Windows XP Service Pack 3 Coming to A Computer Near You

It seems not everyone is happy with Windows Vista, as Microsoft are having to bring out Service Pack 3 for Windows XP.
Microsoft were due to bring Windows XP off the shelves on January 31st 2008 but as Vista has had many problems and not proved as successful as Microsoft had hoped, are now keeping XP on the shelves until June 30 2008.
I tried Vista sometime ago, and after installing it on one of my hard drive partitions noticed it had taken up 20GB. To be honest I liked the interface and it worked ok on its own, but then when I tried to install drivers, software etc that’s when all the problems started, after a lot of time and effort I decided not to continue using it.
I have noticed some of the bigger PC manufactures offer Windows XP as an alternative to Vista, that alone must be telling Microsoft something.
According to rumours, Windows XP SP3 now contains 1,073 patches/hotfixes, not including those in previous service packs. Of the 1,073 included updates, 114 are for security-related issues. The remainder are updates to performance & reliability, bugfixes, improvements to kernel-mode driver modules, and many BSOD fixes.
Windows XP service pack 3 is supposed to be due out quarter one in 2008.
Who knows the release of SP3 could breath new life into this old (older) Operating System.

Have you used Vista?
If you have, do you still use it or have you gone back to XP?
Good, bad or indifferent let me know what you think of Vista.
