Pixlr, The Perfect Online Paint Program

Pixlr, The Perfect Online Paint ProgramIn one of my previous articles, I wrote about the Top 3 Photo Image Editors, which are download- able applications. However for quick image editing, I have been using Picnik, as it is easy to use and you don’t need to download it.

Recently, Pixlr released beta 2 version of their online paint application, and it looks pretty impressive.

The interface looks like basic Photoshop, which is neat, tidy, well laid out, and it has quite an array of tools. However it is not as sophisticated as Photoshop but for a free online application it is very good.

Some of its tools include the magic wand tool, crop tool, clone stamp tool to name but a few, you can even use layers.

Pixlr also has many filters, and you can even touch up red eye.

I have to be honest and I found the red eye tool pretty damn good.

If all you need to do, is some basic photo editing then this is could be the perfect online paint program for you.
Give Pixlr a try you won’t be disappointed.

Hi Jeff - that looks like a really handy application. I have photoshop - but actually having it and being able to use it well are two totally different things.

    Hello Cath,
I have found myself using this more and more, for basic photo editing it is great. I still find myself using Picnik for other tasks.
