Malicious Christmas Ecard Spam

Christmas time is a time of year when a lot of us exchange seasons greetings via email with our loved ones, friends and family, and more of us are using eCards which are a great way to send your Christmas message.
Unfortunately malicious code writers are sending out mass spam e-mail greeting cards with attractive and fancy links with the purpose of downloading malicious files to your computer.
There are many types of these emails been sent, and some look like this:

If you click on one of the links they will point to a fake Yahoo Greeting card site.

As you can see the site tries to get the user to download malicious macromedia-flashplayerupdate.exe. If you receive any of these eCard emails, delete them.

Please watch out for this and other suspicious emails. Never open any links in emails that have been sent to you from a sender or recipient that you don’t know.
My advice to you is never open any emails when you don’t recognise the sender.
