Are you like me and get excited or at least look forward to the time when Microsoft bring out a new Operating System? Because lets face it, after a few years using Windows, the user interface, desktop and shell becomes quite dull and boring, as they saying goes ‘a change is as good as a rest’.
It’s the same for the windows mobile operating system. When mobile 5 came out, (sad but true I was very excited to try it), this OS had been developed from the ground up and was very different from the 2003 version. Even with Microsoft’s latest version, windows mobile 6, it isn’t as user friendly or quite frankly, as pretty as the (dare I say it) iPhone software.
I try not to write about the iPhone as every other website does, but let’s face it, Apple got it sooo right with this device.
Since the arrival of the iPhone many manufactures and software companies have been trying to emulate Apples user interface, many have failed but some have done a great job, one such company is called iWindowsmobile.

In this article I want to show you a few applications that will enhance your user experience, make windows look a little prettier, and hopefully get you to use your finger more, rather than your stylus, why? Because using your finger makes it quicker for navigational purposes, easier to open applications, find contacts and even making a phone call.

As I wrote earlier iWindowsmobilewhich uses VITO Technology have brought out not 1, but 4 software applications that not only look great, are user friendly, have simplistic yet superb graphics but also gives you a stylus-free near iPhone experience. I have only wrote a brief description on each product as there is plenty of information from the links I have supplied.

GoodWin, this application is a touch oriented Windows Mobile launcher, and task manager which replaces the shell of the regular Windows Mobile Operating System.

ZoomBoard is a finger friendly onscreen keyboard that shows a magnified representation of the keys your finger is over, which makes typing much quicker than the SIP (Software Input Panel) keyboard that comes with Windows, and is more accurate, keeping typing mistakes to a minimum.
