On average people will change their jobs about 10 times throughout their lifetime, a lot different to the ‘good old days’ when you started a job at 16 and worked through to your retirement to receive your gold watch. How I would of hated to do that, since I am only in my thirties and have already had over 6 jobs and 3 businesses. One book that has helped tremendously to prepare me for interviews was called ‘Great Answers to tough Interview Questions’ by Martin John Yate, this book has everything you need to get the job that you have always wanted. What I realised after reading and studying this book and then going for the job interview was that a lot of interviewers were very poor at interviewing as they just didn’t have the skills to conduct a proper interview, and this made me quite confident (but not to confident) when I was sitting in front of them. Apparently it takes about 6 seconds for someone to decide if they like you, when you first meet that person, harsh I know but true, so unless you look the part you wont get that job offer, anyway back to the book, I would highly recommend this book if you are trying to get your first job or trying to climb the ladder. You can buy it from any good book stores or from Amazon, the great thing about Amazon is if you don’t like it you can send it back. Read the book, go for the job interview and let me know if it helped.
