One way to do this is to constantly challenge yourself by learning new skills.
I must admit that I really enjoy learning something new, and hate anything repetitious. What ever your age it is never too late to start learning new things.
The internet can be a mine of free information, and really useful when you are wanting to learn a new skill. However, trying to find complete or 100% free accurate information on a subject can be difficult.
A few weeks ago, I was surfing the internet and came across <strike>2 </strike> 3 brilliant free online learning course websites that cover hundreds of subjects.

Online Education Database.
The first website is unlike any other, as it is an online education database which has courses from big names like Yale, MIT, and Tufts, and you don’t even have to submit an application or pay a penny (cent) in tuition fees. It has over 200 courses and covers many different subjects, from Engineering & Computer Science, to learning a new language. When you click on a course, it tells you how many hours it will take to cover, an introduction to what you will learn, and also the skill level acquired at the end. This site is a gem, take a look.

Technology is advancing at a fast pace, and this is one of the reasons I love it, and gadgets alike. It never ceases to amaze me, that with each new release, a more sophisticated, portable one comes out, oozing with a plethora of functions and settings, that are supposedly user friendly.

For example Sony have just released the latest PSP, and already designer Tai Chiem is thinking about the next generation of PSP, which uses a Flexible OLED screen, take a look. Although the device looks cool, it is not very functional, for example there is no joypad, and having the screen stored on the outside could render it damaged with a light knock.

Saying that, this is just a design of what the device could represent in the future. Do you think this could be the ultimate in portable computer gaming, or just another lost talented idea.

Did you know that there are nearly 4 billion mobile phones in the world, with 17 phones sold every second?

This is great news as it can prevent the most arduous of hackers from connecting to your network. However, what you possibly didn’t know, is that many people have not taken steps to secure their Router (Access Point). Have you?

Not securing your router means that a hacker is able to connect to it over the internet, and taking control. Once connected to the router, they can then configure it to their liking, and do whatever they want with your network, including malware infection, identity theft and even stopping you from connecting to your own network.

So how do beef up your router and stop hackers getting in?

At the end of the day, the Recycle Bin is just another windows folder, and most users leave it to its default settings. As you may well know, every time you delete a file or folder, it goes straight in to the Recycle Bin. This can be a handy tool if you accidentally delete a file or folder, as you can easily restore it by going in to the Recycle Bin and right clicking the file.

Leaving the recycle bin to its default settings can mean that a large chunk of your hard drive is filled with files that you will never use again.

So how do you use the Windows Recycle Bin to your advantage?

By following my tips below you can take advantage of the Recycle Bin, once and for all.

However for quick image editing, I have been using Picnik, as it is easy to use and you don’t need to download it.

Recently, Pixlr released beta 2 version of their online paint application, and it looks pretty impressive.

The interface looks like basic Photoshop, which is neat, tidy, well laid out, and it has quite an array of tools. However it is not as sophisticated as Photoshop but for a free online application it is very good.

Some of its tools include the magic wand tool, crop tool, clone stamp tool to name but a few, you can even use layers.

Pixlr also has many filters, and you can even touch up red eye.

I have to be honest and I found the red eye tool pretty damn good.

If all you need to do, is some basic photo editing then this is could be the perfect online paint program for you.
Give Pixlr a try you won’t be disappointed.

I use my card reader at home, at work, and when I am out and about to backup or transfer data from my phone, PDA and any other piece of gadgetry that uses a memory card. It also comes in handy when transferring photographs from my camera. I could transfer them via the camera, but to do that would usually mean finding the right camera cables, installing software, and also leaving the camera switched on, using vital battery power. Taking the memory card out of the camera and inserting it straight in to the card reader is much easier and less of a hassle. Card readers are also superb if you want to quickly view the documents or images on the memory card via your computer or Laptop.

Sadly, the other day my beloved card reader stopped working, (which I had owned for 2 years), not sure which one to choose, I asked friends and scoured the internet for a decent card reader that would read many different memory cards.
