I came across this article from PCMechanic about connecting a 32” LCD television to your PC and wow it looks really cool.

I have two monitors, one is a 19” and the other is 17” and would love to have bigger screens (or screen) but the cost was always an issue for me, however using an LCD flat screen television cuts the cost by nearly half.

There is one downside in and that is the resolution, a typical 30-inch monitor is going to give you native resolutions of 2560×1600, this 32-inch TV is only going to provide 1366×768, although it is a lot smaller, its still a big screen for a lot less money.
